Freedom of speech

I am a strong believer in freedom of speech. I don't believe that laws should be created to censor someone else's views just because they are unpopular or not shared by the majority of those who make new laws. As time goes on, I have seen more and more freedoms get eroded away in this manner and it's a trend that must stop if future generations are going to have any freedom left. It is not our government's job to legislate their version of morality. I do not believe that our country's founders intended the first amendment to protect our freedom of speech only as long as we say what the politicians want us to say! Hopefully we can keep the Internet available as the one remaining public forum which is free from censorship for as long as possible.
