In recent months (like the past two years) there has been a concerted effort made by the Church of Scientology [tm] to squash discussion of the "church", its beliefs and its history. The Blithering Idiot became involved in this conflict beause of the threat it posses toward the ability of free peoples to engage in an open and frank dialog about the world around us. Here's what we had to say in a cartoon and accompanying editorial.

There's been a recent controversy over so-called parental control web censor programs, specifically CYBERsitter [tm] from Solid Oak Software. Seems CYBERsitter [tm] has a built-in political/religious agenda that's not mentioned anywhere in it's documentation. I know, I downloaded their demo and looked after reading about the situation.
