Geocaching

What is Geocaching? This worldwide activity is often considered to be a high-tech game of hide and seek using a Global Positioning System (GPS). A typical "cache" is a small container with a logbook, pencil, and a toy or trinket. Containers have been hidden all around the world; many in and around Dayton. The geocacher uses orienteering skills to locate these caches and often share their finds on the web. Anyone with a GPS unit can participate. Robyn Coy is an experienced geocacher. She will share with us the excitement of this sport and show how to participate using simple tools.

Annual Business Meeting & Elections

Each September, DMA holds its Annual General Membership Meeting to report on the state of the club and elect new Trustees. DMA maintains a Board of nine, with three seats opening for re-election each year. Four members have been nominated to run for those three seats. Our candidates are: incumbents Todd Collins and Ron Williamitis, and non-incumbents Elliott Lake and Nancy Christolear.
