What is this SIG?

Who are We?

We had the first meeting of the DMA® Amateur Radio SIG on Nov. 5, 2002 with 9 Amateurs and 2 people interested in getting Licensed. We decided to continue to meet the 1st Tuesday of each month. We have two topics of immediate interest:

  1. iLink, a computer program & interface to link our computers via the Internet and a Ham Radio located at a distant location
  2. PSK31, is a new digital mode of communications

Check our events page events.shtml for meeting details. The purpose of this SIG is to promote the hobby of Amateur Radio and computers. Everyone is invited, those currently licensed or those interested in obtaining their amateur license. This will be a fun group.

For more info send an email to or call Todd or Shawna Collins at (937) 545-7015.

All DMA® SIG meetings are free and everyone is welcome to attend.

We're one of several Special Interest Groups (SIGs) of Dayton Microcomputer Association (DMA®). This SIG began meeting regularly on Tuesday, November 5, 2002. We're working on planning presentations for more of our meetings.

We hold regularly scheduled monthly meetings in 119 Valley St., Dayton, OH, at 7:00 P.M. on the first Tuesday night of each month. These meetings are open to anyone interested in amateur radio and computers and we welcome both the experienced and inexperienced user. You need not be a member to attend but if like what you see and hear your membership will be welcomed. Dues are only $25.00 a year and not only entitle you to a year's subscription to the DMAŽ publication The DataBus and eligibility to win valuable door prizes at DMA's main monthly meeting, and entitles you to some great benefits, including discounts, but gives you access to a group of enthusiastic radio and computer users who are always willing to listen to your ideas and help solve your problems.
