Dynamic-Lang-SIG -- Dayton Dynamic Languages Users Group

About Dynamic-Lang-SIG
English (USA)

The Dayton Perl Mongers group has renamed itself to Dayton Dynamic Languages Users Group effective November 2007. We will be discussing Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, CGI, and related topics.

This mailing list is for members of the Dayton Dynamic Languages Users Group and other dynamic language enthusiasts or professionals in the greater Dayton area to share their experiences and ask questions related to programming languages such as Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, etc. This is a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Dayton Microcomputer Association (DMA®). If there is interest, related job offerings may be posted here also.

This SIG meets at 7:00pm the second Wednesday evening of each month at 119 Valley St., Dayton, OH.

Messages posted from an address not a member of the group will be silently discarded. This means that if you are subscribed to the list using First_name.Last_name@some.isp (eg. John.Doe@some.isp), but you post a message from an account Last_nameFirst_initial@some.isp (eg. doej@some.isp), that message will not be accepted even though one address may be an alias for the other.

This list has the Reply-To: field munged to reply to the list instead of just to the original author. That may make replying only to the original author difficult for some e-mail clients.

Mailman inserts the list name [Dynamic-Lang-SIG] in the subject automatically for messages sent to the list. Administrative messages, such as the welcome message when you subscribe, don't do that. Also, note that replies will go to the list, rather than just to the person who originated the message.

You may change your subscription info for this mailing list at www.dma.org/mailman/listinfo/dynamic-lang-sig.
