The DMA® Linux-SIG-Planning mailing list is for members of the Linux SIG (Dayton Linux Users Group, or DLUG) Planning Committee to share their ideas about organizing DLUG meetings and events, fund raising, etc. DLUG is a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Dayton Microcomputer Association (DMA®). The Linux SIG meets at 7:00pm the third Thursday evening of each month at Wright State University, Dayton, OH. See www.dma.org/linuxsig/events.shtml for current information. The planning committee typically meets at the same location about an hour earlier. Messages posted from an address not a member of the group will be silently discarded. This means that if you are subscribed to the list using First_name.Last_name@some.isp (eg. John.Doe@some.isp), but you post a message from an account Last_nameFirst_initial@some.isp (eg. doej@some.isp), that message will not be accepted even though one address may be an alias for the other. Mailman inserts the list name [Linux-SIG-Planning] in the subject automatically for messages sent to the list. Administrative messages, such as the welcome message when you subscribe, don't do that. Using Linux-SIG-Planning
To post a message to all the list members, send email to linux-sig-planning@dma.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Linux-SIG-Planning
Subscribe to Linux-SIG-Planning by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
