The Ohio Technology Access Project
(OTAP)
is the computer recycling project of Dayton
Microcomputer Association, Inc.
(DMA®),
a nonprofit computer users group.
DMA® volunteers
teach other volunteers how to inspect, adjust, test and repair donated
computer equipment. After the equipment has been put into working
order, it is then provided "as is" to people with handicaps,
limitations, challenges and special needs, and to institutions that
serve these individuals.
Hours
of Operation Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday
and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Closed Sunday
and Monday. Friday by
appointment
only.
Check
our Calendar
for
special events and closings.
See
our Donation
Page for a list of currently
needed items.
Those
who wish to donate used
equipment should e-mail our OTAP Team
Leaders or
call us at (937) 222-2755.
Used equipment may be dropped off at 119 Valley
Street, Dayton, Ohio 45404 only
after you
call or e-mail first. This will ensure that your donation meets our
needs
and that we can have help available to assist you upon your arrival.
To
receive refurbished computer equipment,
individuals with handicaps, limitations, challenges and special needs
as well as schools and institutions that serve these individuals, may
apply for computer system by contacting OTAP.
Individuals seeking a computer should download and fill out a ClientApplication.
If you represent an agency seeking computers for your organization,
please fill out an AgencyApplication.
Applicants, when receiving their computer system, will be asked to
provide an administrative fee. This minimal fee will enable the
recipient to acquire a working computer system with limited computer
training and will help to reimburse OTAP for some if its expenses.
