[Amateur-SIG] Ham SIG Meeting Scheduled for April 3rd

The Amateur Radio and Computers SIG meets every first Tuesday at 119 Valley
Street in the City of Dayton.

Topic for April:

HF propogation software

Inspired by the article in QST a few months ago, I have become fascinated by
the software available to help hams predict and interpret the conditions
that affect our radio signals. To that end, I am just learning how it
works.

I have put out a call to the ham community to find an elmer who can assist
us on Tuesday in trying to learn about propogation software. If you are
that elmer, please let me know. Even if we do not find a guest, I think
together we can look at some of these packages and with our combined
experience find out what works, and how to make it work!

I will load up my laptop with some of the software I have found and we can
take a look and see what there is for us out there.
I will have a Hamvention update, with a sneak preview of the TAPR and SDR
forum topics as well as the rest of the speaker schedules.
I am sure Shawna will have the latest breaking news in the computer world,
as well as my discovery that Microsoft snuck an undocumented update into the
Daylight Savings Time patch!

My Winlink 2000 saga continues .... and we can revisit Echolink for a few
minutes for those who missed it or are still trying to get it to work.

If there is anything you would like to do at this meeting, bring it with or
let me know. This is a user's group, not a classroom or a formal meeting.
If some ham radio project has you backed against the wall, here is a great
resource to help you get back in the game!

Hope to see you at the next meeting ... Tuesday the Third!

Todd
