[Amateur-SIG] Tuesday Meeting DMA Amateur Radio and Computers October 2

Amateur Radio and Computers SIG meets the first Tuesday of every month at
119 Valley Street at 7:00 pm.

 

This month:

 

A look at some of the Emergency and Disaster Preparedness work that is going
on in the Miami Valley involving Ham Radio.  Web sites and Disaster plans
including ARES and some of the digital networks that are popping up.  

 

A look at how Winlink 2000 is growing in popularity in some unusual places.
A review of what it is and what it does above and beyond some of the obvious
applications.  And some competition is popping up!  Sort of .

 

As always, we'll set aside some time for members to address any issues they
are having with equipment or software . in most cases the Ham SIG members
can come up with an answer on the spot, or at least get you pointed the
right direction.

 

TOPICS  What do you want to see at the Ham SIG?  Bring some ideas and we
will try to make it happen!   

 

Of course  Shawna will share the latest in Computer news!
