 Events this weekend:

1) On this Saturday April 5th at the Beavercreek Library at 3618 Dayton Xenia Road, we will be having two "Introduction to Ham Radio" courses. They will be at 10am and 1pm. This course is for young kids and will consist of a presentation and video about Amateur Radio and then the kids will get to build their own FM Radio Kits.

We will be arriving about 9am to set up both the XWARN Trailer and the DARA Communications Van for Display.

We are in need of MANY Amateur Radio Operators to help the kids build their kits. This is a unique opportunity to work with today's youth and show them the many wonders and friendliness of Amateur Radio!

Please come out and help a young person get interested in Amateur Radio!

Please email me with any questions and if you can come out to help!

Thanks!

The National Weather Service heavily depends on it's network of volunteer

spotters to help accurately issue (or not issue) severe weather warnings.

There is simply no replacement for a trained pair of human eyes.

Opportunities to attend spotter training in 2008 are rapidly dwindling.
