Chuck,
Would have loved to have had you at the meeting last night.
I presume from your note that you are probably interested in the item on the
grave yard surveying. It just happened to be an article in yesterday's paper
"Technology Reveals Unmarked Burial Sites". A WSU professor is using a ground
penetrating radar to discover graves that have long since been lost to the
rest of the world. You can find the referenced article in the Dayton Daily
News, 22 June 2006 in the Neighborhood Section, p. N7. I think it is quite
interesting and certainly applicable to many genealogical sites (probably after the
"topical" surveys have been completed). The question to be answered will be
"whose grave was it" when they locate one.
Since you were not there, the other article was on p. A17 of the same paper
(lower left hand corner) on the release of the Census data that the Mormons
have compiled into a searchable database.
