[Genealogy-SIG] Late Messages (genealogy), and others

I am also a newcomer to the Genealogy sig and to emailing on DMA and to DMA members.

What confuses me is the fact that a message to members of a computer literate organization either gets bounced, even from signed-up members of the sig, or lost altogether, or do not show up for days or weeks. 

Yet normal emails to people not members of this computer literate group show up within minutes or seconds. 

It would appear to me that some reorganization of the groups internal email and contact systems needs to be done or, at the very least, some clear standards, methods or explanations need to be given to everyone.
