[Genealogy-SIG] December Meeting 2007

Members,

Time has passed too quickly during the last month, since our last meeting.  I can hardly believe that it is time for another monthly meeting of the DMA Genealogy SIG.  

Tonight there is the DMA Holiday Banquet at the Kohler Banquet Center in Kettering.  They said the SIG Leaders would have tickets but we had already had our monthly meeting before they made that decision; so, I never got any of the tickets.  And, I cannot make the banquet tonight due to previous obligations (our last rehearsal before the opening of the Patterson Park Church's annual presentation "Christmas at the Park").  If you eat so much that you are still recovering tomorrow night, I will understand; uhmmm, you may get volunteered for some assignments!!!

Last month the Cincinnati Library was a candidate for this month's meeting.  However, that did not work out; so we will meet at our usual place for our December Meeting: DMA Headquarters, 119 Valley St., Dayton, OH tomorrow, Thursday, 6 December 2007.  

I will share some information on a new resource now available to genealogists that I have been exploring with some success and for your pleasure.

In addition, I will be happy to show you some new developments on MyFamily.com.  We can also engage in discussion of other similar sites which members use or have used:  pros and cons.  Members participation will be solicited.  

Do we want to meet 3 January 2008?  Kind of close to the holidays but I can go with whatever the majority wants to do.  Bring your druthers to the meeting.
