GENEALOGY SIG MEETING WILL BE THIS COMING SATURDAY AT THE FAMILY HISTORY JAMBOREE 2007

This is just a reminder to members that the GENEALOGY SIG is holding its February meeting at the Family History Jamboree 2007 Saturday, 17 February 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 901 East Whipp Road in Centerville, Ohio. The church is located just east of Far Hills Avenue; past Marshall Road. You will see it on your left heading east about two or three blocks past Fairhaven Church. Doors open at 8 AM.

Technically, you should already be registered, but this cold weather may deter some people that come down from further north where the snow has been so heavy. You probably will be able to register at 8 AM Saturday morning (about $4) but it is already too late to expect there to be food to buy (although if the crowd is down, they will probably be happy to let you take "pot luck" on the food that is overage). There are sandwich shops near by if you would rather "go out" to eat. You do not have to attend all the classes available; they are arranged so you can attend any one you want and then leave if you so desire. Classes are about an hour long and then you get a short break before the next class. There is no real lunch break; you just plan to not attend a class to grab lunch.

Actually all members should be interested in several lectures that will be presented by Dave Vickers. He will be addressing the topics of "Digital Organization on Your Computer", "Genealogy Power Surfing on the Internet", and "Genealogical Software: What's Available ". These topics are all closely related to our SIG mission. A couple of other courses address photography and sharing digital photos.

For more information, go to http://www.fhj1.org

Hope to see you all at the Saturday Jamboree!
