MARCH MEETING SET FOR MARCH 1st

The DMA GENEALOGY SIG will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, 1 March 2007 in the conference room at 119 Valley St.  Time of meeting is 7 PM.  

Agenda items will include a discussion of where we will be meeting in the future.  Rumors persist that DMA may soon be moving out of its present quarters.  New quarters have not been identified yet and certainly nothing is known about how SIG meetings can be accommodated.  A Kettering location has been suggested for consideration.  Those in attendance will likely determine whether to move the meeting location or not.  Please attend the discussion.

 Another agenda item will be opened by the Chairman regarding a new genealogy project that may become available as sort of a public service work.  It would likely be an exclusive opportunity and probably open-ended.  Details and discussion will be provided at the meeting.  Again, please attend to present your views on whether or not our SIG can and/or should proceed to pursue this project.  

 Several members attended the Family History Jamboree at the Whipp Road, Kettering LDS Church on 17 February. I was amazed at how many attendees showed up considering the weather.  Some discussion of presentations will likely ensue.

I know this notice is last minute and I apologize for that.  I was looking forward to the DMA Monthly Meeting and assumed it would be the following week until a few minutes ago when I really took a closer look at the calendar.  So I hope everyone sees this note before our meeting Thursday.
