Jay,

Its been our experience that we have the best results with our volunteers
on short-term projects like Computerfest where they work one weekend and
its over.  A long time open ended project probably would get a lot of
initial support but then slack off.  If someone is depending on us, it
would be embarrassing to fall off and not complete it.

But, who knows, maybe you will get enough folks.
