should--here, Ballmer's "Invite" is very much a "strong suggestion".
(ZDNET's Dana Gardner had the history capturing headline:

Such classic MS, it makes my skin crawl. 

Interoperability doesn't flow from the MS side--interop is a Linux
install adjusted to fit with immutable MS.

I don't see having MS as a headliner or even one half of a
double bill as a good thing at this time.  If folks want to talk
MS after the mtg fine, but core floor time? No. Especially at
this time.
