There has been a change in thinking: SOAR has some second thoughts about
officially sponsoring photography of the Expo Center events. That means any
pictures we take will have to be on our own and while we are not
volunteering for SOAR. They will accept us as general volunteers for
assignment but not as photographers. In other words, SOAR has no volunteer
position designated photographer. That being said, once your shift is over,
whatever you do is on your own. I accept this is a workable compromise with
all things considered. You can volunteer for general ( non photographic)
assignments for SOAR. Once you done with your volunteer assignment, then you
can do what you want, in other words you are free to take pictures on your
own You will still receive a parking pass, a ticket for general admission
and all the other benefits of being a volunteer.

The only photographers allowed will have media credentials displayed at all
times!!! (2) Photographs will be group or scan type shots and not focus on
a specific child. This is due to concerns for childrens safety.

This has been cleared with the Program Director. Any questions or
clarifications email me. We still need to attend orientation on the 27th
and assignments will be marshaled out. Tommy will be collecting our files
as we go so we can consolidate the group effort. We can coordinate this via
cell phone. I will have my laptop with card reader and external hard drive.
Be sure to bring your cell and I have your number

It's still a great deal. You got preferred parking, air conditioning, food
and free admission to the air show. Did I mention my smiling face. As I
commented earlier, money could not buy parking beside the Expo Center during
the Air Show. The only thing that has changed is how we approach our
assignments.
