[Photo-SIG] Nikon D40

I just learned of Nikon's newest D-SLR, the D40.  At first glance, it 
looks like a slightly stripped down D80 (or an improved D50?) but with 
only a 6mp sensor instead of 10mp.  It's apparently going to be $600 
*with* a kit lens, although the lens is only 18-55 mm F3.5-F5.6.  It's 
interesting, but I think it's a bit *too* stripped down for my taste, 
although I *do* like that it's smaller and lighter than other D-SLRs. 
  I'm currently drooling over the Nikon D80.  See
