[Photo-SIG] Topic for this month

Hey Gang,

Kym has done her excellent job of getting us only the best rooms.  This 
month we're in Allyn 225.  You can park right next to the building and 
its the shortest walk.

I'll be doing a presentation at the DMA general meeting on Open Source 
Applications for Windows, one of which will be the GIMP.  We decided 
last month that I would follow up with a detailed GIMP presentation at 
the Digital Photo SIG.  I'll be showing how you can do most of what 
Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro can do and the cost is .........NOTHING!  I 
may throw in an introduction to Inkscape, an Illustrator type 
application.  You never know, there may be give-aways.

At the May General Meeting, we have been asked to make a short 10 min 
presentation on the SIG.  I was thinking we could present a list of the 
top 10 hints for Digital Photographers.  Things like, "Its better to 
underexpose than to overexpose.".  If you have suggestions for hints, 
post them here and we'll vote on them in May because our meeting will be 
before the DMA General Meeting.
