I know its the middle of the summer and everyone is busy with all those
outdoor activities. If you have some photographs of those activities,
bring them in to share.

I will be demo'ing a copy of the Fastone Image Viewer. A free download,
it is a powerful tool for organizing and viewing your photographs. OTAP
has been including it in their suite of software that is installed on
OTAP machines. If we have time left I will also show another free
program I found when looking for Fastone which is the FxFoto program.
This one is a program for creating a composite and includes a lot of
editing tools. It is also a free download.

Lastly, adding on to our topic on Scanning from last month, I have been
scanning in some of the slides that my father took in the early '50s.
It seems that OTAP received a donation of a Canon MP760 and it is
available to the public to scan photos, slides and negatives as well as
print pictures from computer or camera or memory card.

Our format will be to have new questions at the beginning of the meeting
for about a half hour, then at 7:30 we'll start with the Demos and end
with open discussion of various projects and display of our members
photographs. We'll meet in Room 240 in Allyn Hall at Wright State again.

The Cox Butterfly Festival is this weekend if you want to try your hand
at photographing Butterflys.

See you next Thursday.

Nancy
