[software-development] March Software Development SIG Meeting
Mark Erbaugh
[Address Concealed]
Wed Mar 3 16:32:39 EST 2004
The March meeting of the Software Development SIG will be held next
Thursday, March 11 at 6:30pm at 119 Valley St.
Paul Visscher will present an overview of Perl. This won't be an
introduction to Perl as he will be showing off some of the advanced
features. There will be a brief explination at the beginning of syntax,
built in data structures, and some of the common builtin functions, but then
he will talk about stuff like anonymous functions, eval, and event based
programming.
The SIG meetings begin with open Q and A on general programming issues at
6:30. The feature presentation will begin around 7:00pm

P.S. (blatant self-promotion) DMA members, please be sure and check out the
'Software Development Topics' column in this month's "The Data Bus"
newsletter. This column is co-authored by Dr. Robert Koss who gave a
presentation to the SIG last year on Test Driven Development and myself. If
you're not a DMA member, please consider joining. Your dues make programs
such as this SIG possible.
