[Software-Development] C++ and XML

I'm looking to do some XML development with C++. 
Anyone know of a decent library?  I'm looking for
something with DOM/XPath support.

I've looked at Xerces-C++ and libxml++, but don't
really like either.  Xerces seems over-complicated, at
least from the examples given.  libxml++ is dependant
on few libraries.  I would rather have something
stand-alone and easily portable.
