Hello,
I wanted to make everyone aware of a new DMA-sponsored mailing list
that has been set up. The idea is to exchange information on web
development topics (anything from design and web standards to
databases and programming techniques). Here's the description from
the list information page:
The Web-Development mailing list is for programmers / web
site designers in the greater Dayton area to share their
experiences and ask questions related to developing and
maintaining web sites. We expect to primarily discuss LAMP
(Linux, Apache, MySQL, and Perl / PHP / Python), although we
will not exclude other technologies. This Mailman list was
started on Tuesday, May 3, 2005.
At this time, the Web Development mailing list is only that - a
mailing list. There are no scheduled meetings. If sufficient
interest develops, this may become a Special Interest Group
(SIG) of the Dayton Microcomputer Association (DMA®).
That pretty much says it all. If you are interested in subscribing to the
list, you can do so at this address:
http://www.dma.org/mailman/listinfo/web-development
Any questions can be directed to me or to Dave Lundy
(lundyd at dmapub.dma.org).
Thanks to Dave Lundy for setting up the list, and to Nancy Christolear
for her help and support.
