Checking the logs more closely this time
 (reading the characters beyond 80 on a line)
I see that these User Agents are further defined as 
"...help.yahoo.com..." and
"...googlebot..." and that each requested "robots.txt".

 I am thinking that these robots are searching for web sites that have 
configured
their web pages for "@media handheld".

 But still, what types of information would a 'handheld' user want to 
try to
obtain with their device?
 'Contact Us' information: name address telephone, email;
 picture of latest child/grandchild, new car, boat, motorcycle;
 a name -> telephone number/email address list;
 ...
?
