Revelation Material
Because of time I have not yet put a detailed discussion on my web site. I
essentially agree with Dr. Herschel H. Hobbs, Ray Summers, and Edmund A.
McDowell.
Revelation resource books of equaling relevance and correctness:
- The best book but has been out of print for a while: The
Cosmic Drama by Dr. H. H. Hobbs, Waco:
Word Books, 1971. Can be found at: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0849930650/qid=1113227933/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/104-1230656-0032702?v=glance&s=books
- Contains a condensed version
of The Cosmic Drama but the other two views should be ignored. Revelation:
Three Viewpoints by Beasley-Murry, Hobbs,
Robbins; Nashville: Broadman
Press, 1977 Can be found at: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0805413634/qid%3D1113228300/sr%3D11-1/ref%3Dsr%5F11%5F1/104-1230656-0032702
- Another excellent book: Worthy
Is the Lamb by Ray Summers, Nashville:
Broadman Press, 1951. Can be found at: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0805420746/qid=1113228264/sr=2-2/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_2/104-1230656-0032702
- Yet another fine book: The
Meaning and Message of Revelation by Edmund A. McDowell, Nashville:
Broadman Press, 1951. Can be found at: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0805413154/qid=1113228042/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-1230656-0032702?v=glance&s=books
5. A
good study guide is the two volumes by Barclay: the REVELATION of John
Volume 1&2 by William Barclay, The Westminster Press, 1976. (Barclay is
a good general source for detailed Bible study.)
