Here are a few of the 400 or so pictures I took Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001 of the Sixth Annual Giant Scale Radio-Controlled Aircraft Fly-In at the U.S. Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio.

Here is one of the jets that was flown. It is incredibly detailed, and sounds very much like a real jet aircraft. These models are capable of about 300 MPH, but are kept below 200 MPH at the show.

Here it is in operation.

Here it is from a different angle.

Here it is with a couple other jets on the ground.

Here is a reproduction of a 1910 vintage French plane - one of the more unusual planes at the show, and definitely the only one of its kind. It was much easier to take pictures of this in flight than the jets. :-)

Here it is landing.

This is not the way to fly a plane! But several guys did it anyway. [grin]
