Background on the Exhibition:
Twenty Eight AP Studio Art teachers from area schools were invited to submit up to one work of art per AP Studio Art student for the 2005 DMA Young Masters Invitational Exhibition. A panel of judges selected 36 works of art to be exhibited from over 375 submissions.

The DMA Young Masters Exhibition began in l995 with the O’Donnell Foundation Studio Art Incentive Program, a program that provided financial incentives to both students and teachers.

The art created by these students is extraordinary in part because their outstanding teachers provide a college level curriculum at the high school level. Last year, scholarships worth several million dollars were awarded to participating AP Studio Art students. Many AP Studio Art students receive college credit resulting from the portfolios that they submit for evaluation by the College Board each May.
