For more than fifty years, Ghanaian artist Paa Joe has earned international recognition with his fantasy coffins. From Nike trainers to chili peppers to Coca-Cola bottles, Paa Joe's creations honor the Ghanaian custom of acknowledging a loved one's passing by celebrating what they loved most in life. An official selection at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival, Paa Joe and the Lion follows the artist as he mentors his son Jacob to continue his legacy. This film is not rated (2016, 74 min.).
