As one of the premier reading series in New York City, Selected Shorts comes to the Dallas Museum of Art with an evening of funny, moving, romantic, and surreal tales filled with unexpected twists and turns.

Michael Cerveris is the Tony Award–winning Broadway star of Fun Home and Assassins. Additional Broadway credits include Sweeney ToddThe Who's Tommy, Evita, Titanic, LoveMusik, Road ShowNine Lives, and many others. He has appeared in revivals of King LearCymbeline, and Hedda Gabler. His film and television credits include FringeTremeMadame SecretaryThe Good Wife, and Detours. Cerveris can be seen in Steven Soderbergh's latest project, Mosaic, and as Professor Pyg on Gotham.

Jane Kaczmarek is best known for her role as Lois on Malcolm in the Middle, for which she received seven consecutive Emmy nominations, as well as nominations for the Golden Globe and SAG Awards. Her television career began on The Paper ChaseSt. Elsewhere, and Hill Street Blues, and she can currently be seen on USA's Playing House and the upcoming films CHiPSWolves at the Door, and 6 Balloons. Kaczmarek has appeared on stages in New York and Los Angeles, on Broadway, and elsewhere. She recently completed a run of Long Day's Journey Into Night at the Geffen Playhouse with Alfred Molina. 

Maria Tucci has appeared on Broadway in productions of Mary Stuart, Night of the Iguana, The Rose Tattoo, The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore, The Little Foxes, The Great White Hope, and many others. She translated Filumena and Christmas in Naples by Eduardo De Filippo for the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and a collection of her translations was published in 2001. Tucci's film and television credits include American Playhouse, Sweet Nothing, To Die For, Third Watch, Law & Order, and The Slap.
